A competence company within human rights that and aims to increase people's understanding and knowledge of human rights in everyday life and daily work of various businesses. Rättighetsfokus produces handbooks and children's books that in a simple and practical way concretize different rights in everyday life.
brief:
Two different books (one aorund 40 pages, one around 100 pages) within the subject of children’s rights needs to be layouted. The purpose is to guide, educate and enlighten adults about children’s rights who is working in the field, within the subjects “ children’s health” and “parenthood”. Both books contains illustrations, modules and tables that should be presented next to informative text and paragraphs with questions to work further on for the reader.

The idea:
The purpose of the books are to guid, educate and inform adults about the convention of children’s rights with focus of children’s health and parenthood. With informative text and illustrations presented, the books should however be easy to read, understand and feel light.
THE WORK:
The work with the books involved layout, typography, cover layout, assets design, proof reading and sending printing files to printing house.
The book “Barnkonventionen om föräldraskap” contains 44 pages.
The book “Barnets rätt till bästa uppnåeliga hälsa” contains 100 pages.
the design:
Since the books contains different paragraphs with different purpose, it needs to be extra clear for the reader what the part of the texts represent. Both the books are layouted the same way, to make connections between the books.
All quotes are present with a broader margin and coloured quote signs. One book has purple as colour and the other one green. The text is here present in italic variation. Other paragraphs are presented with different combination of circles and lines; such as summary, tables and critics .
The headline typography is based upon linear fonts that is easy to read but also look clean. The same fonts can also be find in other published material from Rättighetsfokus. The body text has contrariwise serifs, with a font that is modern with rounded letters.
